First Aid
We offer a wide range of practical, hands-on first aid courses. All ARC Learning Ltd. courses are run by qualified Paramedics or Registered Nurses with first hand experience of dealing with emergenices. Every year ARC Learning Ltd. trains countless people in basic and advanced First Aid skills. Our courses may be tailored to focus upon any specific industry such as paediatrics, sports environments, industry, care, armed forces and customer service etc. Courses accredited by the First Aid at Work Council and the HSE where appropriate.
Basic First Aid
1/2-day course designed to cover the very basics of first aid, including CPR.
Emergency Aider (Appointed Persons)
6-hour course designed to enable the candidate to deal with emergency situations, such as: wounds and bleeding, shock, unconsciousness, seizures, choking, and be able to deliver CPR promptly and efficiently.
First Aid at Work
4-day HSE course covering the approved syllabus. To include: recognising illnesses and the management of spinal and soft tissue injuries, burns, scalds, respiratory conditions, shock, bleeding, choking, poisoning and administering of CPR, etc.
FAAW Update
2-day HSE Approved course covering all of the requirements of the 4-day programme for requalification.
Defib (AED)
1/2-day course designed to introduce the use of an AED, and a 2-hour requalification course for those already trained in its use.
Paediatric First Aid
1/2-day course concentrating on basic first aid for early years staff, parents or anyone looking after children.
1 day, paediatric first aid courses focusing on a wider variety of child related first aid issues.
Basic Life Support
1/2-day course concentration on effective delivery of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, BLS.
Immediate Life Support
For staff requiring ILS training or ILS update courses.
Every effort is made by ARC Learning Ltd. to present infomation to all course delegates. From time to time, changes are made by the Health and Safety Executive and the British Resuscitation Council to first aid practices. As soon as changes are published, ARC Learning Ltd. are required to update course material and content to comply with regulations, and then provide an up-to-date training course to maintain our high standards of training.
