Food Hygiene

CIEH accredited Level 2 Award in Food Safety. This 1 day course meets the requirements of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health award. It covers topics such as:

The importance of food safety
Hazards to food
Illnesses from food
Personal hygiene
Cleaning and disinfection
High risk food
Food storage and preparation

Run by our experienced food hygiene consultant, this course is designed to be interactive and can be tailored to suit any food preparation situation such as retail, domicilliary care, nursing/residential homes, schools, canteens etc. There will be a multi-choice exam at the end of the course.

 

Food Safety Awareness

A 1-day course covering the same topics as the Food Hygiene course, but without the exam at the end of the course or CIEH registration. This course carries an ARC Learning Ltd. certificate of attendance.

 

Basic Food Safety

A 1/2-day course covering the basics of food safety, such as:

Hazards to food
Kitchen and personal hygiene
Food storage and preparation
Food safety controls

 

Nutrition Awareness

A 1-day course looking at the nutritional requirements of the human body. What happens when these essential nutrients are missing from our diets, and how we can plan and prepare healthy, nutritious meals. This course may be adapted to suit the requirements of those working within early years, schools, elderly care or nursing care.
