Mandy Chadwick RGN, PGDip OHE, FETC, MHTC, TDLB, NEBOSH NBE (RM)

MandyMandy Chadwick qualified as a Nurse in 1987 and worked for seven years as a Practice Nurse and Nursing Home manager in Co-Durham.

In 1994 Mandy qualified as an Adult Education teacher, going on to design and deliver City & Guilds and NVQ (care) courses for Age Concern Training, and a number of Further Education colleges in the North East of England.

Having successfully completed the University of Northumbria Manual Handling Facilitators course in 1995, Mandy worked for Disability North, Newcastle, managing a community based manual handling risk management project in conjunction with Social Services Home-Care.

Mandy has since worked as the lead Moving and Handling co-ordinator for a Local Authority Social Services team, and then as an Occupational Health Ergonomist for a large Occupational Health & Safety department within Local Government for seven years.

Having completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health Ergonomics in 2004 with the European Institute of Health and Medical Sciences, Mandy is now in the final stages of completing the Master of Science degree.

Mandy has been an active member of the National Back Exchange for many years, and is now a Registered Member of the NBE.

One of her latest interests is in developing an E-learning initiative in partnership with English Community Care Association and e3Learning Adelaide, Australia.

In 2004 Mandy and her partner, Paul Titcomb, formed ARC Ltd. to meet the growing demand for flexible, high quality consultancy and training services from a wide range of Clients throughout the UK. Since then the Company has gone from strength to strength, with a rapidly expanding Client base, and an impressive team of Consultants.

PaulAfter spending over 20 years in the Army, and being a member of the Institute of Leadership and Management, Paul Titcomb qualified as a Physiotherapist in 1993, specialising in Musculoskeletal disorders.

Having been approached by several care providers to deliver manual handling training, Paul successfully completed the University of Northumbria, Manual Handling Trainer course in 1995.

The demand for manual handling and other care related subjects quickly increased and facilitated the need to undertake the Post Graduate Certificate in Education in 2000, at the University of Huddersfield.

Since 1995 Paul has had extensive involvement in providing advice and guidance on a vast range of disability (mobility/hoist) equipment, whilst developing and delivering a wide range of courses.

Having qualified as an Advanced Casualty Carer, Paul has been a member of a North Yorkshire Mountain Rescue team for the past 15 years. This has enabled Paul to deliver a variety of First Aid courses, including First Aid at Work and paediatric Basic Life Support (BLS).

In 2004 Paul formed ARC Ltd. with his partner Mandy Chadwick, to meet the ever increasing demand for excellent training courses and services to the care sector and educational establishments.

Paul is currently completing his MSc. in Sport and Exercise Therapy at the University of Teesside, and is a Registered Member of the National Back Exchange.
